• School Bus Drivers The Secaucus Board of Education invites qualified and interested individuals to apply for the position of School Bus Driver

Qualifications

Requirements

• Requires a valid New Jersey driver’s license with driving privileges in good standing; CDL Class B with P&S endorsements or Class C with P&S endorsements
• Must pass Department of Transportation physical exam and Mantoux screening test
• Must complete and pass the criminal history background check
• BASIC FUNCTIONS AND

Responsibilities

• Obey all traffic laws
• Observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
• Maintain discipline while students are riding, loading, or unloading the school bus
• Reports undisciplined students to the appropriate school authority
• Keep assigned bus clean
• Maintains assigned travel schedule
• Completes NJ MVC Drivers Vehicle Inspection Report before each operation of the vehicle
• Notifies the proper school authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness
• Loads and unloads students only at authorized stops
• Exercises discretion when on out of district school trips
• Transports only authorized students and district employees
• Reports all accidents and completes required reports
• Compensation: $28.33/per hour Maximum of 29
