• Preschool Intervention and Referral Specialist (PIRS)2026-2027 School Year The Township of Union Public Schools is seeking dedicated, knowledgeable, and qualified Preschool Intervention and Referral Specialist
• Position Summary:The Preschool Intervention and Referral Specialist (PIRS) plays a critical role in supporting preschool teachers, administrators, and families within New Jersey's state-funded Preschool Expansion Aid (PEA) programs
• The PIRS works collaboratively to promote positive social-emotional development, address challenging behaviors, and ensure inclusive, supportive classroom environments for all young learners

Requirements

• Must Hold an Appropriate Standard New Jersey Teacher of the Handicapped Certificate or Standard New Jersey P-3 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certificate
• Minimum 3 years experience in Early Childhood education
• Understanding and experience with the Pyramid Model
• Experience in developing, facilitating and presenting staff development
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community

Salary

• Range
• $70,500 - $100,904 in accordance with the UTEA Agreement based on education and experience
