• The Morris County Vocational School District has an opening for three full-time tenure track secondary School Counselors (10-month position)
• The positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year.Job Goal:The Morris County Vocational School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered secondary School Counselor to support our diverse population of high-achieving Academy and Share Time students
• The ideal candidate will be a collaborative professional who can bridge the gap between traditional academic counseling and specialized career/technical guidance

Responsibilities

• Academic & Career Coaching: Provide comprehensive guidance for students within our specialized CTE academies, including course selection, graduation tracking, and alignment with industry certifications.College & Post-Secondary Planning: Facilitate the college application process, with a focus on articulating credit transfers (including our partnership with CCM) and navigating specialized admissions for technical programs.Social-Emotional Support: Deliver individual and group counseling to support student wellness, resiliency, and academic success.IEP/504 Collaboration: Work closely with the Office of Student Services to ensure that accommodations are implemented effectively within the vocational shop and academic settings.Master Schedule Support: Assist in the development and maintenance of student schedules to ensure all state graduation and CTE sequence

Requirements

Qualifications

• New Jersey School Counselor Certification
• A strong understanding of college and high school academic systems, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to supporting student success in a dual enrollment environment
