• SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIAN DISTRICT 2025-2026 Position Summary The School District is accepting applications for a District-Wide Substitute Custodian to provide custodial coverage on an as-needed basis across all school buildings
• This position supports the daily operations of the district by ensuring facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
• The substitute custodian may be assigned to any school and any shift as needed
• Essential Duties and

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas Perform routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning Empty trash and recycling containers Assist with building setup and breakdown for school activities and events Follow all district safety procedures and proper use of custodial equipment and supplies Report maintenance, safety, or supply concerns to the Head Custodian or Facilities Office Provide assistance during weather-related events and emergency situations Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred but not required Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods Ability to work independently and follow instructions Strong attendance and punctuality required Must successfully pass required criminal history and background checks Work Schedule On-call, as-needed basis Day, evening, and weekend shifts may be required Compensation $22.00 per hour, in accordance with district substitute pay guidelines Application Procedure Applications are ONLY being accepted on-line through Applitrack until the position is filled
