Position description

• The principal oversees the daily educational programming and instructional needs of students enrolled in the recovery high school
• This role includes managing course schedules, ensuring alignment to graduation

Requirements

• , and monitoring student progress in collaboration with the district administrative office and each student's home district
• The principal serves as an advocate for students, supporting both academic progress and recovery-focused goals.The principal works collaboratively with onsite recovery personnel, communicates regularly with the operating district and sending districts, and ensures students are maintaining progress in coursework
• The individual will also provide instructional support and teach courses aligned with their certification, as needed

Qualifications

• Holds a New Jersey administrative certificate
• Holds a New Jersey teaching certificate (secondary level preferred)Demonstrated ability to oversee student course needs aligned to graduation

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with program staff, home districts, district administration, parents, and students
• Reports directly to the district administrative office

• The successful candidate must possess strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Strong writing and technology skills are required
• The individual should demonstrate the ability to encourage and support students engaged in recovery while maintaining high academic expectations
