Salary

  • $62,474.00 - $88,939.00 commensurate with experience and ETEA agreement

Qualifications

  • Valid New Jersey Preschool through Grade 3 (P-3) Teaching Certificate
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience in a general education preschool classroom under PEA guidelines
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, Creative Curriculum preschool curriculum implementation, and early childhood assessments
  • Experience providing professional development and/or instructional coaching to teachers preferred
  • Knowledge of NJ Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards and PEA program

  • listed above, a preschool instructional coach shall also demonstrate one or more of the following: Certification that includes an endorsement for bilingual education or English as a second language.Certification that includes an endorsement for teacher of students with disabilities or teacher of the handicapped.A graduate degree in early childhood education with an emphasis on early literacy and/or early mathematics; and/or
  • A graduate degree in educational supervision and/or leadership

Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional coaching, modeling, and feedback to preschool teachers to support effective classroom practices.Support implementation of approved preschool curriculum, assessment practices, and standards-based instruction.Conduct classroom visits and collaborative planning to strengthen teaching practices and student outcomes.Assist teachers in identifying students needing additional academic, behavioral, or developmental supports.Coordinate intervention strategies and referrals in collaboration with administration, child study teams, and families.Facilitate professional development and collaborative learning opportunities for preschool staff.Support program implementation aligned with New Jersey Preschool Expansion Aid guidelines and continuous program improvement
