Maintenance Technician

• Full-Time Maintenance Technician Location: Burlington County Special Services School District Position Summary: BCSSSD is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team full-time
• The ideal candidate will hold a current Black Seal License and possess knowledge of plant operation, HVAC systems, and proper handling of hazardous materials
• This position is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for students and staff

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Current Black Seal License (required) Knowledge of plant operation and maintenance, including HVAC systems and hazardous materials handling Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write effectively Good physical health with ability to lift at least 50 pounds Related work experience as determined by the Board of Education Required criminal history background check Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status Must establish New Jersey residency within one year of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to buildings, grounds, and equipment as directed Notify supervisor of issues requiring attention Assist with planning and implementation of preventive maintenance programs Remain available for scheduled work
